General Information:

Each Academy student is required to complete an 80-hour internship with a mentor in the scientific, technical, or medical community during their junior or senior year or during the summer. The internship is designed to provide an in-depth experience in an area of student interest and 80 hours is a minimum requirement. The student is evaluated by his/her mentor during and at the end of the internship and is visited by the faculty intern coordinator. The student must also write a report and make a presentation based on the internship and will earn one-half unit of local credit.  Internship may be completed after sophomore or junior year, or during the junior or senior year.

Students may not begin an Internship until the Exploration requirement is met.
Juniors who have not met the Exploration requirement must submit a Graduation Waiver in order to
begin the Internship.

Internship Presentation Night is scheduled for Tuesday November 15, 2016 in TWCP Commons from 6-7:30 p.m.
