Academy-sponsored Exploration trips will be on weekdays after school and holidays, over weekends, and during breaks. Timely documentation of each trip is required. Each student is allowed one late report annually for credit. Students may earn an additional ½ local credit for each 14 additional Exploration credits. The form may be downloaded from the Academy website (below) or picked up in the Academy office.

Pre-Approved Explorations

A menu of pre-approved explorations was piloted last summer for students with great success. We are continuing this opportunity for students in the Classes of 2017-2020.  Our incoming freshmen (Class of 2020) must wait until they have completed Fish Camp to take advantage of the pre-approved explorations. Download the form below to use as the approved independent exploration. Students must still write notes in their journals, document the experience with tickets, brochures, pictures, etc. and submit a typed two-page report that includes additional research. Journals and reports are due by the  Friday following the event.
